Acrobat Reader 5.0 by Adobe Systems is a read-only tool that allows users to open, view, navigate and print PDF files (version 1.4 and prior) that are stored either in the local hard drive or directly in a web browser with the plug-in application for web.
Acrobat Reader 5.0 gives users the ability to find single words or text with an easy to use Find tool.
Furthermore, it is possible to magnify or reduce the document’s text and drawings to have a close view of the details or to view the overall document.
The schema showing the contents of the book, either with the help of bookmarks or thumbnails, also allows the users to quickly and easily find chapters, subtitles and sections of interest, and it is a one click step to go to the desired section.
With Acrobat Reader 5.0 users can work with PDF documents, taking advantages of online documents over printed versions. With numerous features and tools that make Acrobat Reader 5.0 a very powerful instrument, this program allows to better navigate through the entire document by providing such things as the ability to search for text, easy access to desired sections, copying portions of text and pictures (subject to the book permissions), etc.

Pros

  • Easy way to find desired words, sections, or chapters.
  • Adjustable to screen size.

Cons

  • Vulnerable to some not epidemic Trojan viruses.

    — PDF-form with lots of fields

I made a PDF which is to be used as a track record. It is approx 2 MB and has close to 2200 fields. Either the size or the number of fields is a problem for the reader on the iPad, not on the computer.
The Reader only shows one inch of the document and none of the fields are visible or even accessible. This is not the case with smaller forms.
Are there any other users having the same difficulties? Or possibly a solution?
    Let me know!
